If you asked us who, in our wildest dreams, would make up the
best celebrity friendship, we would probably say Pippa Middleton and Charlie
Sheen (he’d really help her open up to the public, you know?). And after that,
we’d go for Cheryl Cole and Rihanna.
So imagine how chuffed we were to discover that Cheryl and
Rihanna are basically the best of pals after the following tweet that was made
today.
Cheryl wrote to the international star: “Happy Birthday @rihanna
. Hope you have a Special
birthday #CAKE
”.

OK, so we might be getting a bit carried away, but stranger
things have happened and there are plenty of reasons why Cheryl and Rihanna
might actually be friends…
1. They’ve
met at least three times.
2. Cheryl
knew it was Rihanna’s birthday. Thoughtful.
3. Cheryl
made a joke about her new single – Birthday Cake – and intertwined it with the
fact that it’s Rihanna’s actual birthday. Banter.
4. Cheryl
fell out with Cher Lloyd last week. She needs some new pals.
5. Rihanna’s
best mate Katy Perry is nowhere to be seen. Time for a replacement.

Rihanna is yet to reply to Cheryl’s tweet, but she’s
probably having a long nap after her massive birthday night out in LA. Just
wait – Rihanna will see the tweet and write something witty back and by
tomorrow night we’ll all be sat punching refresh and watching the beautiful friendship
blossom.
